Running it
The Strong Hand Tools magnetic welding clamp is a purpose-built fabrication aid designed to hold metal workpieces securely at precise angles without the need for an extra set of hands. Built around high-strength rare earth magnets encased in a rugged steel housing, this clamp locks onto ferrous surfaces with a grip strong enough to resist the vibration and movement common during tacking and welding operations. Fabricators, metalworkers, and hobbyists rely on it to position pipes, angle iron, flat stock, and other steel components at common angles such as 45 and 90 degrees, allowing for faster setup and more consistent joints without constantly measuring and re-clamping. What sets this magnetic welding clamp apart is its combination of holding power and adjustability. The on/off magnetic switch lets users engage or release the strong magnetic field instantly, making it easy to reposition workpieces mid-project without wrestling against full magnetic force the entire time. The body of the clamp is constructed from durable, heat-resistant materials that can withstand the heat and spatter generated during MIG, TIG, and stick welding, while the compact, low-profile design allows it to fit into tight corners and awkward angles where traditional clamps or jigs would struggle to reach. Practical and versatile, the Strong Hand Tools magnetic welding clamp is well suited for a wide range of applications, from custom fabrication and metal art to automotive repair, HVAC ductwork, and general shop assembly work. Its ability to hold pieces steady at multiple angles reduces the reliance on extra fixtures, tack welds for temporary positioning, or a second worker to steady material, which speeds up workflow and improves accuracy. For welders who need a dependable, reusable clamping solution that adapts to different project geometries, this magnetic clamp offers a straightforward way to achieve tighter tolerances, cleaner welds, and a more efficient overall welding setup.
The Strong Hand Tools Magnetic Welding Clamp is a reliable third-hand tool for fabricators and hobbyist welders alike, offering strong magnetic hold, adjustable angles, and solid build quality. While it's limited to ferrous metals and carries a premium price tag, its versatility and time-saving convenience make it a worthwhile investment for anyone doing frequent metal fabrication or welding projects.

This clamp has been a game changer for my garage projects. I can position pieces at odd angles and it holds strong while I tack weld. The on/off switch is super convenient.
Works exactly as advertised, holds a great magnetic grip on steel plates. Only downside is it's a bit bulky to store with my other clamps, but performance-wise no complaints.
I use this daily in my fab shop for aligning angle iron and square tubing. The V-groove pads are a nice touch for round stock. Highly recommend for any welder.
Does what it says, strong magnet and decent build quality. Wish it worked on aluminum too but that's just physics, not a flaw of the product itself.
