I've used this for farm repairs and general fabrication. Runs smooth on 6011 rods and the arc force adjustment really helps with dirty steel. Can't complain for what I paid.
Bought this mainly for stick work and it's been reliable. Tried the TIG function on some steel and it works fine but the included torch feels cheap. Upgraded to a better torch and now it's great.
Took this to a job site running off a generator and it handled 120V input just fine at lower amps. Good machine for someone starting out or needing a backup welder.
Welds well overall but the cooling fan is noticeably loud compared to my old machine. Also wish it had AC TIG for aluminum. Still, for stick welding it's dependable.
Exactly what I needed for my home shop. Light enough to move around, does clean welds on 1/8 inch steel, and the digital display makes dialing in amperage easy.
