I've used this for both MIG on mild steel and stick welding on thicker farm equipment repairs. The dual voltage feature is a game changer since I can plug into 110V in my garage or 220V in the shop. Arc is stable and the digital readout helps dial in settings fast.
Welds clean beads once you get the settings right. The fan does get loud after 20+ minutes of continuous use, and I had to swap the liner when running aluminum wire, but otherwise this thing has held up well over six months of hobby projects.
Bought this to replace an old flux-core only welder. Stepping up to MIG with gas has been great. Feed mechanism is smoother than I expected for this price range. Just wish the manual explained polarity settings better for beginners.
