I've used this for aluminum fabrication for over a year now. The balance control lets me really clean up the puddle, and the pedal control is smooth. For the price, nothing else comes close.
Welds beautifully on both steel and aluminum. My only gripe is the control panel looks like it's from a decade ago, but functionally it does everything I need.
Bought this for home projects and it's held up well. The HF start is reliable and the pulse settings are versatile. Fan noise is noticeable but not a dealbreaker.
The welder itself performs solidly, especially for the price, but the manual is thin and I had to look up tutorials online to understand some of the pulse settings.
I run this daily doing repair work on aluminum trailers. Duty cycle is better than expected and the AC frequency adjustment gives me great control over the arc.
