I use this on old farm equipment and structural steel constantly. The pilot arc never fails to start even on heavily rusted material. Cut quality is excellent and dross is minimal.
Performance is fantastic for our fabrication shop, cutting 1/2 inch plate cleanly and quickly. My only gripe is the cost of replacement tips and electrodes adds up over time.
