Switched from an old flux-core only unit to this and the difference is night and day. The 230V setting lays down beautiful beads on 1/4 inch steel, and the digital display takes the guesswork out of settings.
Runs great on both MIG and stick. Bought it mainly for the multi-process versatility but was surprised the TIG torch is a separate purchase. Still, the welds are clean and the machine feels well built.
Been using this for trailer repairs and small fabrication projects. The dual voltage feature let me run it off a regular 120V outlet in my garage when needed. Fan is a bit loud but not a dealbreaker.
I weld several hours a day for small metal art projects and this machine keeps up without overheating. The infinite voltage control lets me dial in exactly the bead profile I want.
