Switched from a basic MIG-only unit to this and couldn't be happier. Being able to TIG weld thin aluminum brackets and then switch to flux-core for thicker steel repairs is a game changer. Setup is straightforward and the digital display makes dialing in settings quick.
Performance-wise this welder is fantastic — smooth arc, good penetration, and works great on my farm equipment repairs. My only gripe is having to buy the spool gun separately for aluminum work, which added to the overall cost.
Runs great off my 120V outlet for lighter projects and I can switch to 230V when I need full power for thicker material. The portability is excellent and it hasn't given me any issues after 6 months of regular use.
Does everything I need for hobby fabrication work. At max output the duty cycle limits continuous welding time, so I've had to plan around cooldown periods on bigger projects. Still, the versatility makes up for it.
This replaced three separate welders in my shop. The diagnostics feature has saved me time troubleshooting issues, and the build quality feels very durable. Highly recommend for anyone needing flexibility in one machine.
