I do a lot of structural repair work and this welder starts 7018 rods without sticking. The hot start feature really makes a difference compared to my old buzz box.
Great arc quality and easy to control, but I do wish there was a 120V input option for smaller jobs away from the shop. Still, can't complain about the performance.
Bought this for general farm equipment repair. It's heavy but that's expected for the power it puts out. Duty cycle is fine for the intermittent welding I do.
Been using this for over a year now on various fabrication jobs. No issues, starts every time, and the build quality feels like it'll last a long time.
It works well but it's very bare bones. No digital readout, just a dial. Gets the job done for stick welding but don't expect any extra features.
