Running it
The Weldpro TIG 200DC is a compact, high-frequency start TIG and stick welder engineered for hobbyists, fabricators, and professionals who need precise, clean welds on thin to moderately thick metals. Operating on DC power, it delivers a stable arc for welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous metals with excellent control. Its inverter-based design makes it significantly lighter and more portable than traditional transformer-based welders, without sacrificing the power output needed for serious welding tasks. The unit offers adjustable amperage from low single digits up to 200 amps, giving users the flexibility to handle delicate sheet metal work as well as thicker material joins, all while maintaining a smooth, spatter-free finish. Built with pulse capability, the TIG 200DC allows welders to manage heat input more effectively, reducing warping and discoloration on sensitive materials. This pulse function is particularly valuable for artistic metalwork, automotive bodywork, and precision fabrication where bead appearance and heat control are critical. The machine also includes a 2T/4T trigger function, letting operators choose between manual hold and latch-style triggering depending on the length and nature of the weld. High-frequency arc starts ensure that ignition is smooth and consistent, minimizing tungsten contamination and producing cleaner starts compared to scratch-start alternatives. The stick welding mode adds versatility, letting users switch to electrode welding for outdoor or dirtier work environments without needing a separate machine. Despite its advanced feature set, the Weldpro TIG 200DC remains user-friendly, with an intuitive control panel that simplifies amperage adjustment, pulse settings, and mode selection. It runs on standard 220V household power, making it accessible for home garages and small workshops without requiring industrial-grade electrical setups. The welder’s durable construction and thermal overload protection help ensure longevity and consistent performance even during extended use. Bundled with a foot pedal, TIG torch, stick welding accessories, and a carrying case, this package provides everything needed to start welding right out of the box. For those seeking a dependable, feature-rich TIG welder that balances portability, control, and affordability, the Weldpro TIG 200DC stands out as a strong choice within the welding equipment market.
The WeldPro TIG 200DC is a solid budget-friendly option for hobbyists and light-duty fabricators who need reliable DC TIG and Stick welding capability. While the lack of AC output means it can't handle aluminum, its clean HF start, pulse function, and foot pedal control make it a strong performer for steel and stainless steel projects. Build quality can be inconsistent, but for the price point, it delivers solid value.

I've been using this for home fabrication projects on steel and stainless, and it performs really well. The HF start is clean and the pulse feature helps a ton on thin gauge material. For the price, I don't think you can beat it.
Works great for steel and stainless TIG welding, but I really wish it had AC output for aluminum. Still, for the price, it's a solid unit and the foot pedal control is smooth.
My first unit had a faulty display, had to get it replaced under warranty. The replacement works fine now. Just be aware there can be some inconsistency in quality control.
As someone getting into TIG welding as a hobby, this machine has been fantastic. Easy to dial in settings, clean arc starts, and the digital display makes learning much easier.
I mainly use this for stick welding on thicker steel and it handles it well. The TIG side is great too. Just wish the duty cycle was a bit higher at max settings.
