Switched from a cheaper inverter to this unit and the difference in arc stability on aluminum is night and day. Worth the investment for production work.
Took me a few weeks to dial in the AC balance settings for thin aluminum, but once I did, the welds came out beautifully. Not for total beginners.
We run this daily on stainless exhaust work and it hasn't missed a beat. The pulse function is a nice touch for controlling heat input.
