Used this Ranger 225 for pipeline repair work for over two years now. Starts easy, welds smooth, and the generator side runs my lights and grinder without issue.
Arc quality is excellent for stick and TIG. Only downside is the weight - definitely need a trailer setup. Otherwise very happy with the purchase.
Been running Lincoln welders for 20 years and this one doesn't disappoint. The idle feature saves a good amount of fuel on long days.
Performance is great once it's running, but you have to stay on top of engine maintenance. Worth it for the reliability in the field.
