Been running this Ranger for three years on pipeline jobs in all weather. The Kubota diesel just doesn't quit, and the arc quality on stick welding is smoother than any gas unit I've used before.
Welding performance is excellent across stick and TIG, and the auxiliary power runs my whole trailer of tools. Only complaint is the weight makes it a hassle to move without a proper trailer setup.
Switched from an older Ranger model and the fuel savings from the idle-down system are noticeable after just a few months. Still just as tough and reliable as Lincoln's reputation suggests.
We run two of these on our service trucks for field repairs. Cold weather starts have never been an issue, and the auxiliary power has bailed us out more than once on remote jobs.
