Been running this Ranger for three years on pipeline jobs. Starts every time, arc is smooth on stick and TIG, and the generator side keeps our grinders and lights going all day without hiccups.
Welding performance is excellent across all processes we use. Only downside is moving it around the shop without a trailer or forklift is a real chore given how heavy it is.
No power lines out where I work, so this unit is a lifesaver. Runs my plasma cutter and shop lights off the generator side while still welding fence repairs with the stick function.
Welds beautifully and the auto-idle helps, but under heavy continuous use it drinks gas faster than I expected. Still, the reliability and arc quality make up for it.
